What Vijetha Theatre Borabanda Offers
Currently branded with 70MM format, 4K projection, Dolby Atmos and 3D Dolby Digital sound, and air conditioning, the theatre has a reasonably solid technical baseline for a neighbourhood single screen.
- Sound quality is generally well-reviewed, with many customers specifically noting the Dolby Atmos system
- Seating is described as comfortable overall, though some reviews mention certain seats feeling outdated
- Ample parking is available, with bikes priced at ₹20 and cars at ₹40
- Online booking through BookMyShow is available, though it typically opens only around half an hour before a show, which is worth planning around if you like to book well in advance
A Genuinely Serious Concern Worth Knowing
This is worth addressing directly rather than glossing over, since the complaints here go beyond typical minor grumbling. One detailed account describes visiting Vijetha specifically to watch Baahubali and requesting a middle-section seat at the counter, only to be told those seats were reserved for online booking only. What followed, according to the reviewer, was a genuinely hostile confrontation with counter staff and a group of bystanders, involving disrespectful language rather than a straightforward explanation or apology.
Separately, another review describes a more systemic issue: black market ticket agents allegedly pushing ahead of the regular queue, buying up around 30 tickets at once, and reselling them to the public at ₹150–200 above face value, well beyond what those in the legitimate queue were left to pay.
These are specific, serious complaints rather than vague dissatisfaction, and they’re worth factoring into your planning, particularly around major openings when demand — and the temptation for this kind of behaviour — tends to be highest.
Vijetha Theatre Borabanda Ticket Price
No officially published, fixed rate card was available across current platforms for this theatre. Given the reported black market ticket concerns, it’s worth being especially mindful of pricing here, since face-value tickets and inflated resale tickets could differ substantially, particularly for high-demand releases.
- Standard ticket pricing will vary by film, seating category, and current demand
- Booking online through BookMyShow well before showtime, when the window opens, is a sensible way to avoid the reported queue and black market ticket issues at the counter
- For the exact current rate on a specific show, checking BookMyShow directly is the most reliable way to confirm
Vijetha Theatre Borabanda Show Timings
No fixed, permanent daily schedule is published for the theatre, which is standard for a single screen where the lineup shifts based on which films are currently running.
- Expect the usual pattern of morning, afternoon, evening, and night shows through the day
- Big new Telugu releases typically bring the fullest, most frequent showings
- Given the reported ticketing issues, checking BookMyShow as soon as booking opens for a specific show, rather than waiting to buy at the counter, is a sensible approach for popular releases
Planning Your Visit
- Book online through BookMyShow rather than relying on the counter, particularly for major releases, given the reported black market ticket concerns
- Set expectations that some seating may feel dated even though the overall comfort is generally described as fine
- Given the theatre’s parking pricing, budget accordingly for bike or car parking
- If you’re travelling by public transport, Borabanda’s MMTS railway station offers a genuine alternative to driving
